Xavi and Erik ten Hag interested in Sofyan Amrabat. A number of European teams have made Amrabat, 26, one of their top transfer targets as a result of his excellent performances for Morocco at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He contributed to his team’s record fourth-place showing in Qatar.
Amrabat, a defensive midfielder who plays with his right foot, was left off the Atlas Lions’ roster for their most recent Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches. Before their 2-1 loss to South Africa, he was permitted to leave the national team’s training facility.
Prior to his team’s most recent loss, Regragui explained why Amrabat was let go. (Source: Calciomercato) He stated: “He won’t play [against South Africa], so I’ve decided to let him depart the national team camp. He’s already participated in numerous games this season. Given that he’ll shortly be joining a new team, I wouldn’t want to take the chance of him getting hurt.”
SPORT reports that Manchester United would certainly give Barcelona some competition in the coming weeks as they try to get Amrabat. The player is reportedly eager to don the Blaugrana jersey the next season.
Since they are now looking for a suitable successor for Sergio Busquets, who is expected to leave the club this month, Barcelona is eager to add Amrabat to their ranks. The Spaniard won’t be available to them for the first time since 2008.
Manchester United, on the other hand, is looking to upgrade their midfield in preparation for the upcoming campaign. The young player from FC Utrecht would rival Casemiro and Christian Eriksen if he were to sign with them soon.
The finalist for the 2022–23 Coppa Italia and Europa Conference League has played 107 times for Fiorentina so far.
Manchester United aim to trigger clause for Barcelona forward:
Manager Erik Ten Hag of Manchester United is reportedly interested in tempting Ousmane Dembele away from Barcelona this summer, according to El Nacional. He wants to take full advantage of the ambidextrous forward’s £43 million release clause.
26-year-old Dembele, who joined the Blaugrana from Borussia Dortmund in a move worth up to £135 million in 2017, has established himself as a first-team starter. In 185 games with his side, he has 40 goals and 43 assists.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup champion, though, might turn out to be a hazardous acquisition for the Old Trafford team. Given his propensity for injuries, the physicality of the Premier League may prevent him from adjusting to his probable new team.
