Juventus will soon sign Franck Kessie. Juventus is interested in acquiring Franck Kessie from Barcelona in the summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Kessie had come last summer from AC Milan.
However, the Ghanaian does not frequently visit the Blaugrana. Last season, he participated in 43 games across all competitions, recording three goals and three assists. Kessie, however, only started 16 games in all competitions last season because manager Xavi primarily utilized him as a squad player.
Juventus is a big fan of the player. Bianconerri’s keen interest in Kessie is also a result of his earlier Serie A experience with Milan and Atalanta.
To make room for Kessie in the lineup, Juve is reportedly helping Paul Pogba leave the club. Barcelona reportedly values Kessie at €15 million, according to SPORT. As long as they get a pure transfer offer, they’re willing to let the Ghanaian go.
Kessie’s efforts for Barcelona last season made Xavi happy:
Although Franck Kessie was not one of Barcelona’s top targets last season, Xavi has stated that he is pleased with Kessie’s performance. To be fair to Kessie, he also helped the squad out with a couple of significant goals, notably the late winner in the El Clasico matchup with Real Madrid.
According to Sempre Inter, Xavi said: “We are delighted with him. He’s giving some really good performances. He has outstanding timing when running into the area and rarely loses possession of the ball.”
Xavi added: “He puts forth a lot of effort for the squad and is kind to his teammates. He is becoming more confident as a result of his recent victories. He is tolerant and will be helpful to us. I’m thrilled with Frank.”
Xavi’s decision might be altered, though, by a suitable offer from Juve. If the Turin giants come up with the proper offer, it won’t be shocking to see Kessie return to Serie A and play for the Old Lady.
