PSG is bringing back Xavi Simons on loan. According to reports, Xavi Simons from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) may return on loan if Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr. stay with the team.
The Netherlands international is expected to return to Parc des Princes following a brief stay at PSV Eindhoven, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano. Following the club’s activation of the 20-year-old’s €6 million buy-back clause, the Parisian team.
Romano claims that RB Leipzig is the front-runner to sign Simons to a loan deal. By Tuesday, July 18, a decision will be made on the player’s future.
Simons worked with PSG from 2019 until 2022, however, he only made 11 senior squad appearances. In 2022, the player transferred to the Eredivisie team on a free transfer.
Simons made 48 appearances during his one season in the Netherlands, contributing to 22 goals and 12 assists across all competitions. PSG is eager to give him another chance after last season’s strong performance.
Neymar and Mbappe must continue to reside at Parc des Princes as a condition of the loan agreement.
