Barcelona to wait until 2024 to sign the €30 million move. According to reports, Barcelona has opted to wait until 2024 to pursue AS Monaco right-back Vanderson, and the player is also willing to wait for the Catalan giants. The Spanish team’s new sporting director Deco gave the defender’s name to them.
According to a report in SPORT, the club has informed Xavi that it can only spend between €10 and €15 million on a right-back this summer. Ivan Fresneda of Real Valladolid is one of the alternatives they are currently considering.
In order to fulfill Xavi’s request to buy a right-back this summer, Deco has been pushing Barcelona to sign Vanderson. The Spaniard wants Sergi Roberto to be replaced and is unwilling to utilize Jules Kounde on the flank.
According to SPORT, the Brazilian defender would cost €30 million in the upcoming campaign, but the Catalan team is willing to wait.
Target for Barcelona prepared to move this summer:
Ivan Fresneda of Real Valladolid has been linked to Barcelona, and Xavi wants to recruit the former Real Madrid player. Although the Catalan giants are willing to deal, he is valued at €20 million.
In an interview with The Athletic earlier this year, Fresneda acknowledged that he would eventually need to make the next significant career move.
He said: “Since I made my debut, the fans have been incredibly encouraging and have been pleading with me to stay. I am largely kept out of the picture by my agent. I don’t particularly enjoy reading what a journalist may have written because I’ve experienced everything personally. I’m really appreciative of the organization and the outgoing boss and I’m attempting to handle the situation as naturally as I can.”
He added: “I’m a young person. I have to advance cautiously and avoid turning around. At my age, you have to keep becoming better, and at Valladolid, I am. Of course, one of my goals is to play for the finest teams in the world, as everyone would like to.”
“I took the necessary leap of faith when I moved to Leganes after Madrid, which wasn’t simply because I had a terrific time at Valdebebas (Real Madrid’s training facility). I promised myself I could deliver the level before working out with Julio Baptista’s Valladolid youth team, and I showed it.”
Fresneda joined Leganes’ youth program in 2018 but never appeared for Real Madrid’s senior team. He has played with the main team since 2022 and has spent three years at Valladolid.
