La Liga club will sign five Barcelona players this summer. Real Betis of La Liga is reportedly interested in signing five Barcelona players during the summer transfer window, according to SPORT. On Betis’ short list are Ez Abde, Nico Gonzalez, Alex Collado, Arnau Tenas, and Pablo Torre.
Ramon Planes, the recently appointed sporting director of Betis, is attempting to negotiate an agreement for the five players. Betis has earned a spot in the UEFA Europa League season 2023–24. The Spanish team is focused on advancing to the UEFA Champions League, though.
As a result, they are attempting to strengthen the ranks. The 2022–23 season saw Abde, age 21, spend it on loan with Osasuna. The player is scheduled to rejoin the Catalan club, although it is not anticipated that he would be the team’s sole starter.
While all was going on, Nico Gonzalez was at Valencia on loan. The young midfielder, like Abde, is not in Xavi’s plans. The contract for Alex Collado has already been terminated. Tenas shares the same situation. He announced his present status as a free agent at the under-21 European Championship.
On the other side, despite being a very talented player, Pablo Torre struggled to get into many games this past season. The child might look to leave Barcelona to continue developing.
Ronald Koeman spoke about Barcelona midfielder Nico Gonzalez:
Barcelona was in a severe financial state when Ronald Koeman took over as manager of the Catalan club. They couldn’t sign fresh players since they didn’t have enough money.
Koeman consequently decided to offer players like Gavi, Nico, and other young players greater opportunities in the first squad. Nico, though, has been unable to secure a position under Xavi.
Koeman remarked (via Barca Universal) the following about the player, who spent the prior season on loan at Valencia: “Coaches and the club must decide on these issues. They are young players who can fill a position that Barça needs, and Nico moved to Valencia. Always start by looking around the house.”
Nico is not anticipated to receive frequent opportunities in the first squad despite Sergio Busquets’ departure. Ilkay Gundogan has already been signed by Barcelona, and they are also looking at other options for a midfielder who can play the pivot.
