Al Nassr officially announces the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo. As his career in European football comes to a close, Cristiano Ronaldo is now a recognized member of the Al Nassr team. The Portuguese forward has agreed to a 2.5-year contract that runs through 2025. The future of Ronaldo had been uncertain for some time.
Following a contentious interview with Piers Morgan, the mutual termination of his contract with Manchester United occurred last month. Ronaldo was eager to join a premier European club, but that didn’t happen. The 37-year-old will now represent Al Nassr in the Saudi league.
The club announced the deal on Instagram with the following caption: “More than just history is being created here. This is a signing that will motivate not only our team to further its success but also our league, our country, and the next generation of young men and women to strive to be the best versions of themselves. Welcome to your new home, @cristiano @alnassr FC.”
The all-time leading scorer in the history of the UEFA Champions League, the premier European Cup tournament, will now continue his career on a new continent. During his tenure in Europe, Ronaldo played for Sporting CP, Manchester United (twice), Real Madrid, and Juventus. Cristiano Ronaldo struggled to maintain his prior season’s form when he scored 24 goals for Manchester United.
Ronaldo, 37, didn’t like the fact that Erik ten Hag didn’t start him in his team. Ronaldo’s contract was terminated following his interview with Piers Morgan, and the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is now formally residing in Al Nassr on a new continent.
