Kaka supports Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr decision. The legendary Kaka of Brazil and AC Milan has expressed his support for Cristiano Ronaldo‘s unexpected transfer to Al-Nasr during the winter transfer window. Ronaldo, 37, completed a permanent transfer to the Saudi Pro League team after his contract with Manchester United was mutually terminated in November of last year. After his contentious interview with TV host Piers Morgan, he left Old Trafford.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has signed a two-and-a-half-year agreement at Mrsool Park despite his ambition to play in the UEFA Champions League. He is expected to make an astounding €200 million annually.
Kaka was candid in his assessment of Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent footballing experience in Saudi Arabia when he spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport. He clarified: “He may be playing to give up football, in my opinion. I can relate to him; he is a unique player. He and other players offer the team a straightforward idea: winning. The opposite of losing is winning. I feel like a lot of the young athletes in this generation don’t get it. If they succeed, it will be wonderful; if not, it won’t matter to them. This is not how it is.”
Kaka proceeded by equating the Portuguese with two legendary AC Milan players: “Paolo Maldini is a perfect illustration. Having won four Champions League championships earlier, he yearned for a fifth despite his advanced age. He and other players like him are what makes a team successful. Due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s top attitude, he is still useful today.” In two games with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has failed to score a goal.
Roy Keane claimed on Sky Sports that Manchester United is gaining from Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure this winter. He stated: “In the end, I believe the manager and the team benefited greatly from his departure. Nobody wanted that to be a problem for the remainder of the season; it ought to have been resolved in the summer. He was not going to remain on the bench and be content with the entire situation. Thankfully, they have now handled it correctly.”
Keane offered his thoughts on the departures of other unimportant players: “But there were also another one, Edinson Cavani, and another five or six young men that departed. Those who were bench players and marginal players didn’t contribute when they came on because they thought they should have been beginning. Last year’s substitutes and sideline players gave off the impression of being energy-suckers.”
