Barcelona and PSG show interest in Bernardo Silva. In light of Barcelona and PSG’s interest, Bernardo Silva has said he will be open to leaving Manchester City in the summer. According to the Portuguese star, he is just focused on finishing the season strong, not the summer window.
This summer, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are waiting to make a bid to sign Silva. According to reports, while the Catalan team is raising money for the transfer, the Ligue 1 team will be trying to provide Neymar as compensation for the former Benfica star.
After scoring twice against Real Madrid and advancing Manchester City to the UEFA Champions League, Silva spoke with RMC Sports. He said: “My strategy is to finish the season strong, take the Premier League, then the two finals, and then this summer we’ll see what happens.”
In 2017, Silva moved to Manchester City from AS Monaco and has since played a crucial role in their first team.
Bernardo Silva, a target for Barcelona and PSG, intends to reteam with the previous team:
Although Bernardo Silva has stated that he is seeking a fresh challenge, he is reportedly considering returning to Benfica. He stated that he was prepared to leave Manchester City in an interview with Record from earlier this season.
He said: “I’m 28 years old, turning 29 in the summer, and I still have two years left on my deal with Manchester City. At age 31, my contract would expire. I’ll be honest: If something positive occurs elsewhere, my objective for the foreseeable future will probably be to switch to a new project.”
Bernardo Silva added: “I’ll probably only complete this contract at the age of 34, entering a new project at the age of 29. What did you think ten years ago, if I were to ask you? At most 32 years old, I wanted to go back to Benfica. How do I feel right now? Depending on what occurs during the upcoming summer.”
The Barcelona and PSG target continued: “That would go right, at 32, when I was going to leave Manchester City two years ago. Now it won’t go as planned. A club that pays what City want for me if I leave, which I don’t know will happen, won’t offer me a three-year contract; instead, they’ll offer me a five-year one. I would also be 34 years old by then.”
While Manchester City is interested in replacing Bernardo Silva with Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea, Barcelona, and PSG are eager to add Bernardo Silva to their squads this summer.
