Lionel Messi will end his PSG contract. According to reports, Lionel Messi is debating the idea of ending his 10-day PSG contract. The forward is reportedly considering leaving the team before the season is through because he is dissatisfied with the two-week punishment that was given to him.
Messi will be trying to see if he can leave PSG within the next 10 days, according to a story in LeParisen. He is currently serving a two-week suspension for traveling to the Middle East without authorization.
According to reports, Messi made the decision to leave PSG after the season when his contract expired. Recent events, however, have led the striker to think of quitting early and abandoning the team even before they are named Ligue 1 winners.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, told Sky Sports last year that he was optimistic Messi will sign a new contract with the team: “He is overjoyed. With the national team, you can observe that. A player’s performance for the national team will suffer if they are unhappy. He gave us great work this season. He has contributed to several goals and assists for both the club and the national team. In light of this, we decided to sit down after the World Cup. However, both parties – our club’s side and his – are overjoyed, so we will talk after the World Cup.”
However, following their elimination from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich, the fans have turned against the Argentine. Messi has decided to depart after considering his options in light of the jeers and the possibility of returning to Barcelona.
Lionel Messi is negotiating a return to Barcelona:
Vice-president Rafael Yuste of Barcelona has stated that the team is in contact with Lionel Messi about a possible return. He asserts that although they are working on it, the negotiations have not yet produced a result.
The Guardian cited him as stating the following: “Leo and his family are aware of my admiration for them. I took part in the negotiations, which regrettably did not produce a specific outcome.”
Al Hilal and Inter Miami will be competing with Barcelona for the services of Lionel Messi.
