Real Madrid and Barcelona in race to sign Bayern midfielder. According to reports, Real Madrid and Barcelona are in a battle to sign Joshua Kimmich, a midfielder for Bayern Munich and Germany, during the forthcoming summer transfer window.
Since moving from RB Leipzig for just €8.5 million in 2015, Kimmich, 28, has established himself as a consistent starter for Thomas Tuchel’s team. He has so far assisted them in winning 19 trophies, including seven Bundesliga championships.
The 76-cap Germany international is a right-footed defensive midfielder known for his passing and vision. He began his career as a center-midfielder. During his time with the Bavarians, he developed into a world-class midfielder who can also play right back.
Before the next 2023–24 season, Real Madrid and Barcelona reportedly showed interest in signing Kimmich. But the Bavarians are reluctant to part ways with the VfB Stuttgart academy grad.
The leadership of Bayern Munich has not placed a price on Kimmich since they are putting the German at the center of their future ambitions. He wants to lead the first team in the future for the Bundesliga champions.
Real Madrid would benefit greatly from the signing of Kimmich this summer because both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are nearing the end of their careers. He might also fill in for the ailing Dani Carvajal at right back.
If Kimmich were to sign with Barcelona before the upcoming season, he would be an important starter for them as well. His contract with the Allianz Arena runs through June 2025. His replacement for Sergio Busquets would be a good fit.
In total, Kimmich has made 345 appearances for Bayern Munich and has scored 40 goals and provided 94 assists. The 2020 UEFA Champions League victor is presently worth €80 million, according to Transfermarkt.
Midfielder linked to Real Madrid and Barcelona admits transfer:
Fabricio Diaz, a midfielder for Uruguay’s Liverpool Montevideo, was recently asked to comment on the transfer rumors around him and Barcelona. He responded, expressing his enthusiasm for the most current links: “It’s a dream come true that a premier team as big as Barcelona is interested in me. It’s a truly wonderful feeling. I’m at peace with everything right now. I am confident that my agent will quickly identify the best solution for me.”
Since making his Liverpool Montevideo debut in 2020, Diaz, 20, has established himself as one of the top talents in Uruguay. In 116 games played for his current club so far in all competitions, he has so far scored five goals and distributed seven assists.
El Nacional claims that Real Madrid is also eager to sign Diaz this summer. The midfielder, who is valued at €6 million, would prefer to sign a long-term contract with the Catalan team and play for Xavi Hernandez.
