Emil Forsberg claims Anthony Elanga is perfect for his club. Emil Forsberg, a midfielder for RB Leipzig, thinks Anthony Elanga, a winger for Manchester United, would be an excellent addition to the Bundesliga team.
This summer, Manchester United may be willing to offload the 21-year-old attacker. Under Erik ten Hag, Elanga has had trouble cracking the starting lineup; this season, he has only made 26 appearances and played just 702 minutes of football.
Although Anthony Elanga has a deal with the Red Devils through 2026, RB Leipzig has emerged as a potential destination this summer if he decides to go on. The Swedish international has been closely linked to the Bundesliga team, and a deal like this may be advantageous for both parties.
Emil Forsberg, a member of Elanga’s international team for the Swedish national team, even plans to discuss the change with the club’s president. By way of METRO, Forsberg stated to Fotboll Skanalen: “I will have a meeting here shortly with Oliver [Mintzlaff], the president, to discuss our options.” We shall see. Anthony would have blended in well with our group. a young player who strives to improve. We shall see. It might occur.”
The attacking midfielder added: “I spoke with Anthony. However, it is only between us. If that were to come up, it wouldn’t surprise me because Anthony and I are extremely close. However, he is a young, gifted player who blends in with us. We’ve done a wonderful job of grooming young, talented guys.”
Elanga might also be open to leaving Manchester United in order to play more frequently. He vented his frustrations to the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet in March: “It is annoying. It’s crucial that you play, so do it. However, it is up to the coach and not me whether you play or not. Erik [Ten Hag] and I have spoken, but it is just the two of us. I just keep working out hard because I know what he wants me to do. I just have to be prepared to seize the chance when it presents itself.”
Manchester United is still looking to sign the star of Brentford:
Tottenham Hotspur is now in the lead, but The Telegraph reports that Manchester United is still in the running to sign Brentford custodian David Raya.
Brentford’s David Raya has had an outstanding season, making 39 appearances across all competitions while recording 12 clean sheets.
Even though they need a replacement for Hugo Lloris, who is most likely leaving this summer, Spurs are unwilling to pay the £40 million that the Bees are now valuing him at. Spurs’ reluctance may pave the door for the Red Devils to pursue the Spanish custodian.
David de Gea, Manchester United’s No. 1 custodian, has not yet renewed his contract, which is due to expire at the end of this month. If De Gea decides not to prolong his stay at Old Trafford, Erik Ten Hag and the company may want to sign Raya since he has a superior distribution than De Gea.
