AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign PSG star. Renato Sanches of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is allegedly a target for AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho to sign this summer.
Sanches, 25, has had trouble making an impression since moving to the Parc des Princes from LOSC Lille for €15 million last summer. Only eight of his 27 games last season, totaling just 905 minutes, were starts for him.
Todofichajes claims that Mourinho has instructed his club’s upper management to give priority to signing the 32-cap Portugal international. After Georginio Wijnaldum left on loan, he wants to reinforce his midfield.
Bryan Cristante’s ability to handle first-team responsibilities in the 2023–24 season is reportedly not enough to convince Mourinho. He is considering partnering with the Benfica academy graduate and the former Lyon star, Houssem Aouar, at the center of Roma’s midfield.
Sanches, whose current contract is slated to end in June 2027, is rumored to be hoping to leave PSG to play more first-team football. He could compete with Lorenzo Pellegrini for the number 10 spot at Roma in addition to playing a deeper role there. The former Bayern Munich player has already scored twice for PSG.
PL Titans and PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe are not linked, according to Fabrizio Romano:
The PSG star Kylian Mbappe announced earlier in June that he would not extend his current contract past June 2024. As a result, Real Madrid has expressed interest in him, making him a hot topic of discussion.
But according to a recent rumor from Football Transfers, Arsenal plans to make a move for the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion next summer. According to Fabrizio Romano’s exclusive column for Caught Offside, Arsenal currently has no plans to sign Mbappe.
He said: “Despite some prominent headlines, I genuinely have no information about any English clubs having discussions to sign Mbappe. We will let you know if anything happens in the upcoming months, but as of right now, I have zero knowledge of this. I’m not aware of any other information at this time, although Real Madrid is always quite knowledgeable about him.”
The Frenchman might turn out to be a great addition to the Gunners if he does sign with them. Gabriel Jesus would be dropped to the bench, and he would team up with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.
Mbappe has currently played 260 games for the Ligue 1 champions, scoring a record 212 goals and dishing out 98 assists.
