Bernardo Silva receives an offer to move to Saudi Arabia. Bernardo Silva, who is wanted by Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), apparently has a hefty offer to relocate to Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Pro League has expressed interest in the Manchester City midfielder, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.
Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has been in discussions contemplating a move to Saudi Arabia, but Ornstein questions whether a formal offer has already been made. It has been stated that the super agent and financial figures have been discussed.
The Manchester City star is still weighing the option of transferring to the Middle East, according to Ornstein, who also stated that the player is likely to pass up the opportunity. Despite PSG and Barcelona’s interest, the Portugal international is more intent on remaining in Europe.
Ornstein claims that Saudi Arabia is pushing for signings that are getting more and more ambitious. Al Ahli, Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, and Al Nassr are the four teams in the Saudi Pro League that the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia said it would assume control of in June.
This season, Manchester City’s historic treble-winning campaign was greatly aided by Bernardo Silva. The 28-year-old participated in 55 games overall in all competitions, recording seven goals and eight assists.
The talented midfielder’s future, though, is still largely uncertain because Barcelona and PSG are both interested in signing the Portuguese star. Silva has a contract with the Etihad until 2025, but for the past few years, speculation over his future has abounded.
On the other side, the Saudi Pro League has continued to draw top players ever since Al Nassr made the historic acquisition of Cristiano Ronaldo in January. For the signing of Ruben Neves, a fellow countryman of Cristiano Ronaldo, Al Hilal, and Wolverhampton Wanderers have reached a £47 million agreement.
Karim Benzema was signed by Al Ittihad earlier this month, and Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech and midfielder William Carvalho are both being courted by Al Nassr.
