Chelsea and Man City interested in Arsenal star. Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly interested in recruiting Arsenal’s record-breaking prodigy Ethan Nwaneri, according to the Evening Standard. This past season, Nwaneri broke the record for becoming the Premier League’s youngest player ever.
In September, he entered the game as a substitute during a 3-0 victory over Brentford at the Emirates. At that time, Nwaneri was just 15 years and 181 days old. His contract as a schoolboy is about to expire.
The player has been extended a lucrative deal by the Gunners as they are eager to keep hold of him. Chelsea and Manchester City, though, have also expressed interest in Nwaneri.
Nwaneri can sign a professional contract when he is 17 because of the aforementioned contract. A new contract for Nwaneri is being negotiated by Mikel Arteta, Edu the sporting director, and Per Mertesacker the youth coach.
Journalist provided an update on Arsenal and Manchester City target Declan Rice:
Declan Rice, a West Ham United player, is coveted by both Arsenal and Manchester City. At this stage, the midfielder is the focus of a struggle between elite English clubs.
Rice appears destined to leave West Ham in the summer. His preferred location has long been suggested as a transfer to north London. Dean Jones, a journalist, asserted that Rice might change his mind and join Manchester City instead.
Jones said (via Hammers News): “We are aware of Declan Rice’s desire and happiness to sign with Arsenal. Declan Rice, though, is definitely certain to join Man City if this next offer is rejected and they make a counteroffer. If they were also successful in securing Declan Rice’s passage, which they didn’t really want to accomplish much, I believe that scenario would be rather terrifying”.
In recent seasons, Rice has been an important player for the Hammers. One of the most in-demand players in English football is him. Therefore, it makes sense that the best Premier League teams are circling Rice.
