Nottingham Forest immediately appointed Chris Hughton as a manager after the club sacked Sabri Lamouchi.
Starting with Dougie Freedman and going through Philippe Montanier, Mark Warburton, Aitor Karanka, and Martin O’Neill, in less than six years, Lamouchi became the sixth manager to be discarded by Forest.
After four defeats in four games to start the new season, the departure of Lamouchi seemed inevitable, compounded by the frustration of owner Evangelos Marinakis at missing out on the Championship playoffs on the final day of the 2019-20 season.
“Nottingham Forest can confirm that the contract of head coach Sabri Lamouchi has been terminated with immediate effect,” the club said briefly on official site.
