Chris Sutton predicted Chelsea and Nottingham Forest. Chris Sutton, a former Celtic player, predicts Chelsea will defeat Nottingham Forest with a score of 2-1 in their next Premier League match. Sutton is concerned about the Blues’ weakness up top, but he doesn’t believe the newly promoted Forest will be able to prevent Graham Potter’s team from winning.
The Blues are feeling upbeat heading into their Premier League match on Sunday (1 January) against Nottingham Forest. In their most recent league match, the Pensioners comfortably defeated Bournemouth 2-0 thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Mason Mount. Nottingham, on the other side, suffered a crushing 3-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford and was completely destroyed.
Sutton predicted Forest would frighten Potter’s team at the City Ground in his BBC column, but he did not believe they would win the match. Sutton started by saying, “Chelsea gained a much-needed win over Bournemouth last time out, and they deserved it too.”
Nottingham Forest struggled a little bit against Manchester United, but they never really seemed to be in the game for the long haul. Chelsea’s biggest difficulty this season has been scoring goals, but Forest has bigger issues as they lack enough of a threat up front. Forest’s chances of surviving in the division seem to depend on their home performance because they play so poorly away from home, but I don’t think they will win this game. I predict a slim Chelsea victory. 2-1.”
After 15 rounds of games, the west London team is now ranked ninth in the Premier League standings. However, after 16 games in the English premier division, Steve Cooper’s team is currently in 19th place.
