Humorous Chanting by Fans at Man United vs Tottenham Match. In preparation for their Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday (April 27), Manchester United supporters have created a humorous chant for Harry Kane.
The summer transfer of the England international to Manchester United has received significant media attention. At the end of the upcoming season, his deal with Spurs will expire, but he has not yet agreed to new terms in north London.
In the midst of it, Matt Law of the Telegraph reported that the Red Devils had begun laying the groundwork for a possible summer Kane bid. The 29-year-olds and their team’s recent advancements appear to be known to Manchester United supporters.
During their league match against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the visiting supporters were heard yelling, “Harry Kane, we’ll see you in June” (h/t @UtdPlug). Beginning on July 1, the summer transfer window is open for business.
It is clear that Manchester United needs a striker. After Cristiano Ronaldo’s abrupt departure from the team in November, the team found itself in need of a center-forward in January.
Burnley has Wout Weghorst on loan until the summer, although he has not performed well. Kane, however, is still without a trophy. The Spurs player will have the opportunity to surpass Alan Shearer’s Premier League scoring record of 260 goals if he signs with Manchester United. On 207 is Kane.
What did Manchester United’s manager say regarding Harry Kane?
Before United’s high-profile Premier League match at Tottenham Hotspur, Erik Ten Hag lauded Harry Kane.
The Dutch coach was questioned about what makes Kane a great striker during his pre-game press conference. He answered (according to the Independent): “The number of goals is first. He also makes crucial passes in the end that lead to goals. He simply has a fantastic demeanor and is a great player.”
Ten Hag answered when asked if the Three Lions captain would fit in at Manchester United: “My squad is getting ready for a game versus the Spurs tomorrow. He is one among the players, but I am focused on our match against Spurs right now.”
Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham, is a difficult negotiator, especially when it comes to his famous players. However, if Kane decides not to renew his contract with the Lilywhites, he might not have much of a choice.
In that case, Levy had two options: either sell Kane this summer and sign a prospective replacement with the proceeds. He might even wait until the following season and accept losing the Englishman to a free transfer.
