Deco asks Barcelona to sign Real Madrid target. Arda Guler, who has drawn interest from rival Real Madrid, has reportedly received a call from Barcelona’s sporting director Deco urging the team to sign him.
Numerous elite European clubs have Guler on their summer transfer wish lists. Such teams as AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Ajax, and Arsenal are included. The Turkish star is also coveted by Barcelona and Real Madrid.
El Nacional reports that Deco is hesitant to allow Guler to join their bitter rivals this summer. To lure him to Camp Nou, he has requested that the club pay his release clause. The teenage Fenerbahce player’s release clause, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, is only worth €17.5 million after taxes.
Guler can play on the wings in addition to his position as an attacking midfielder. He scored six goals and gave seven assists for Fenerbahce in 35 appearances across all competitions during the just-completed season.
The 18-year-old is frequently likened to Mesut Ozil, a former midfielder for Fenerbahce, Real Madrid, and Arsenal. The former celebrity revealed to Marca recently: “Is number 10 better than I am? I can come up with a name. I have a brother in whom I have faith; his name is Arda Güler; may God keep him safe.”
Guler has played 51 times for Fenerbahce as a senior, scoring nine goals and dishing out 12 assists. Additionally, he has four caps for Turkey and one goal.
Guler, though, would compete against players like Gavi and Pedri in Barcelona. The Turkish midfielder hasn’t decided on his future, according to the aforementioned El Nacional article.
Gavi, a teenage player from Barcelona, on Jude Bellingham joining Real Madrid:
Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Real Madrid, was recently acquired from Borussia Dortmund for €103 million. Due to his outstanding recent performances for Dortmund and England, the 19-year-old carries a lot of pressure.
Gavi, a young player for Barcelona, is more concerned about contending for championships with the Blaugrana than he is with Los Blancos’ acquisitions. Gavi, 18, responded to SPORT’s query on Bellingham’s signing by saying: “Madrid is free to sign anybody they please. I could care less. We’re going for it since we have our own.”
Last season, Bellingham made 42 appearances for Dortmund across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and dishing out seven assists. Gavi, on the other hand, helped Barcelona in 49 games throughout all competitions with three goals and seven assists.
The El Clasico, one of football’s most storied and violent rivalries, will now pit the two players against one another.
