Marco Materazzi issues a warning to Messi about moving to PSG. Inter Milan great Marco Materazzi cautioned Nerazzurri defender Milan Skriniar against signing for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Materazzi made his point by citing Lionel Messi as an example.
Skriniar has garnered the attention of Les Parisiens for a significant amount of time, and the club has shown interest in acquiring his services throughout the last two transfer windows. The powerhouse clubs in Ligue 1 are looking forward to the 2023–24 season in the hopes of eventually signing their target player.
Since his transfer from Sampdoria to Inter in 2017, Skriniar has been a member of Inter’s roster, but he is expected to leave the club this summer. When his current deal with the Serie A powerhouses comes to an end at the conclusion of the season, it is widely anticipated that he would sign with PSG.
On the other hand, Materazzi has asserted that if he were in Skriniar’s position, he would continue playing for Inter. The Italian icon expressed his uncertainty regarding whether or not the central defender will be adored in Paris to the same extent as he is in Milan.
In order to hammer home his comments, Materazzi also brought up the fact that PSG fans have recently been heckling Lionel Messi. He implied that Skriniar might easily face the fury of the Les Parisiens fans if one of the best players in the world is already getting treated in such a manner. Skriniar is currently playing for Les Parisiens.
Materazzi stated to Canal+ (via RMC Sport) that if he had been in his position, he would have remained at Inter. “I told him in public, ‘Remember how the Inter fans loved you, I don’t know if you will be loved as much as that in Paris, even though I wish so,'” But all you have to do is take a look at what is going on with Messi, who is widely considered to be one of the greatest players of all time.
Skriniar is a very powerful defender, not the best, but when he applies himself, he becomes strong in a collective context, Materazzi told PSG fans before Skriniar was rumored to be moving to France. “He (Skriniar) is a very strong defender,” Materazzi said. “When he applies himself, he becomes strong in a collective context.” He has gone a long way, established himself as an essential member of the team, and is now Inter’s captain.
Even though Materazzi doubts Skriniar joining the Parisians, the Slovak has made up his mind to do so.
