Real Madrid will sell Aurelien Tchouameni for £68 million. Aurelien Tchouameni, a target for Chelsea, is said to be open to proposals from Real Madrid of up to £68 million.
Since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu from AS Monaco in a move worth up to £86 million last summer, Tchouameni, 23, has struggled to make an impression. During the previous season, he was unable to replace Toni Kroos and Eduardo Camavinga on his side.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist began his new career as an important starter last season. But as the season went on, he dropped down the lineup, starting only 17 of the 39 club matches since the beginning of the year.
Real Madrid wants to make a profit on the 22-cap France international before his worth as a transfer candidate declines. To recuperate the majority of their initial investment, they are willing to sell their holding midfielder for £68 million. According to El Nacional, Los Blancos wants to spend the money to help Kylian Mbappe have a summer training camp.
Tchouameni is reportedly being closely watched by Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, who is looking to upgrade his midfield. They are more than willing to take advantage of Real Madrid’s attitude towards their midfielder.
The Girondins Bordeaux academy alumnus would become a regular starter for Chelsea if he signed with them this summer. He would essentially take the position of the departing N’Golo Kante, who is rumored to be closing a deal to join Al-Ittihad.
Tchouameni has so far contributed four assists for Carlo Ancelotti’s team in 50 games across all competitions.
