Erik ten Hag wants to sign Mohammed Kudus from Ajax. According to Caught Offside, Mohammed Kudus, an Ajax playmaker, has been selected by Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag as his upcoming acquisition. According to the rumor, the Dutch boss wants to bring at least two significant new players to Old Trafford in the summer.
Since taking over as manager of Manchester United last summer, Ten Hag has performed brilliantly. By leading the Red Devils to a Carabao Cup victory over Newcastle United on Sunday, February 26, he has already put a stop to their six-year trophy drought.
This season, the Red Devils are also contending for the FA Cup, the European Europa League, and the Premier League crown. Since taking over at Old Trafford, Ten Hag’s transfers have been excellent, and the manager is allegedly looking for two significant additions in the summer. The manager of Manchester United has already decided who his first objective will be, according to Caught Offside, and he plans to once again raid Ajax.
His top goal for the summer is Kudus, whom he signed from Nordsjaelland at the Johan Cryuff Arena in 2020. Ten Hag is rumored to be a big fan of the Ghanaian international and thinks he has everything he needs to be successful at Old Trafford.
Kudus has gained popularity recently after making an impression on both club and the nation. Since moving to the Dutch powerhouses from Danish club Nordsjlland, the Ghanaian star has performed admirably for Ajax. In 74 appearances for the team, he has contributed seven assists and 21 goals.
Although Kudus plays primarily as an attacking midfielder, he can also play up front and on either wing. In 32 games across competitions for Ajax this season, the 22-year-old has 16 goals and three helpers. He made a strong impression for Ghana at the FIFA World Cup, netting twice in three games. The Manchester United manager reportedly has Kudus in mind when looking for a replacement center-forward in the summer.
Former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie believes that Erik ten Hag, the boss of Manchester United, may be responsible for getting Aaron Wan-Bissaka fired this summer. To Football Insider, he said: “I believe his supporters are dissatisfied with him. He enters and has been sluggish; he has not put the heather on fire. I believe he is capable of more than what he has been. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with the boss not having faith in him.”
He added: “There will be activity. It is time for a shift, and some of them are going to move on. They are all once more engaged in Man United thanks to Ten Hag.”
Wan-Bissaka received seven consecutive league appearances from late December to early February as a result of Diogo Dalot’s hamstring injury. After Dalot’s return to health, the Englishman at Manchester United has been restricted to a backup position.
