Bengaluru FC, looking for their first win so far in the 8th season of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22, will need a better plan to take on the third-placed Jamshedpur FC in the points table. The 36th match of ISL 2022 will be played between former champions Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC at the GMC Athlete Stadium in Bombolani, where the Bengaluru team will have to fight hard to overcome Jamshedpur striker Greg Stewart to win.
Stewart has scored consistently in the last three football matches and has completed a hat-trick of goals. While Bengaluru FC has failed to register a win in even one of their last six matches, Jamshedpur FC has won three out of six matches and drew two. Jamshedpur FC is at the third position with 11 points, while Bangalore’s team is at the 10th position and it has won only one after playing 7 matches and has 5 points.
Bengaluru FC’s German coach Marco Pezziauoli said, “We are mentally strong. We had good creativity and an attacking stance. Many aspects were positive for us but we need to improve our defense and Mohun Bagan made up for this lack. We had earned a lot of corner kicks against us.”
Stewart has already announced his arrival in the league by scoring a hat-trick for Jamshedpur. The Scottish forward has scored four goals and six assists so far this season. Jamshedpur’s attacks are sharp and have scored 13 goals this season. Jamshedpur’s Scottish coach Owen Coyle said on the eve of the match, “The match against Bengaluru will be difficult. They are a very good team. We think we can definitely win.”
