Coach Juan Ferrando will be seen on Wednesday with a different colour, different emotions and would like to go against his former club FC Goa with such a precise strategy that his new club ATK Mohun Bagan will be played at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda. He will try to get victory in the next league match of Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22.
The Spanish coach left Goa and joined Mohun Bagan after the Kolkata-based club parted ways with two-time ISL title winner Antonio López Habas after the team’s poor performance. Shortly thereafter, Ferrando made a winning start with his new club Bagan, when Green and Maroon Brigade beat NorthEast United 3–2. But in the upcoming football match, FC Goa will be aware of every bet of their former Spanish coach.
Derrick Pereira is now the coach of FC Goa in place of Ferrando and has worked closely with the team. The Indian strategist will aim to put Goa’s campaign on a winning track on Wednesday and look to outperform its predecessor. However, Ferrando seems to be emotional while facing his former club. He said, “It is difficult for me to explain my feelings. A lot of things have changed in two days. It is always difficult to accept the changes. Sometimes it is necessary to take such decisions, but I am a professional. So, now is the time for me to work harder with ATK Mohun Bagan and I will try my best to win the match.”
Derrick Pereira said, “Our philosophy will not change. We can make minor changes here and there but I am sure that if we put our attention to 90 minutes, we will get results. Overall, it is a process, team beginners We are doing well after three games. We have been improving as a team.”
