ISL Transfer News: NorthEast United FC, an ISL team, has been active in making announcements recently. The Highlanders announced the acquisition of Australian defender Aaron Evans for the 2022–23 campaign via their social media accounts.
The team has acquired Aaron Evans, an Asian, for the 2022–23 campaign. The 27-year-old will join the club’s quest for success alongside Jon Gaztanaga, Michael Jakobsen, Matt Derbyshire, and Romain Philippoteaux. Evans, who began his professional career in 2011 at the age of 16 with Canberra City FC, also holds the record for most international caps in Indonesia’s Liga 1.
Evans played outside of Australia for most of his career. The only Australian team the defender has played for during his senior football career is Canberra City FC. From 2011 to 2014, he played for the team for three seasons before leaving to join Tai Po of the Hong Kong Premier League.

He played for a year with Kamphaengphet FC of Thailand’s AIS Regional League Division 2 before going to Laos in 2015. Evans joined the Laotian Football League’s Lanexang United FC. After joining Indonesian team Barito Putera in 2017, the defender, then 27 years old, has since played for a number of clubs throughout the nation.
Evans is a powerful defender with the ability to close passing lanes for the opposition. He will aid the Highlanders in their preparation for the game because he is at ease with the ball in his hands. The Australian defender can be effective both offensively and defensively and has good aerial skills as well.
NorthEast United FC is motivated to maintain its standing as a top squad in the forthcoming season.

Although NorthEast United FC has been a reliable team in the league, they recently had a poor performance. The team will try to make up for the previous season’s mistakes.
