Liverpool to plot a £10.5 million move for Kenny Tete. Jurgen Klopp is preparing a deal for Fulham right-back Kenny Tete in order to expand his defensive options for the upcoming campaign. The Daily Mail claims that the Reds are considering a £10.5 million bid for the Dutch international.
Marco Silva’s club is in a perilous position as Tete’s deal at Craven Cottage is likely to end. Fulham may be willing to move him this summer in order to prevent losing him on a free transfer in a year.
Tete has been rather productive for the London club this year with one goal and five assists in 36 appearances across competitions. He has played well both offensively and defensively.
In the last weeks of the season, Trent Alexander-Arnold was utilized by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in an inverted right-back position. The Englishman has performed admirably in his new position and could receive a regular position in midfield this year.
That would imply that Tete might be the Reds’ best option if they were in the market for a new right-back. Also, even if he is only signed as a squad player, his asking price of under £10.5 million makes him a desirable alternative.
Calvin Ramsay was signed by Liverpool last summer to serve as Alexander-Arnold’s backup, but the Scotsman has had difficulty cracking the starting lineup. Tete might provide the 19-year-old with much-needed improvement.
Tete transferred from Ligue 1’s dominant Olympique Lyonnais to Fulham in 2020, and he has since played in 80 games for the English capital club. He has scored three goals and contributed eight assists during the process.
The 27-year-old, who has played 14 times for the Netherlands, still has a lot of room for improvement and could be an important addition to Klopp’s squad, which will be looking to bounce back strongly in the upcoming season.
Alexis Mac Allister’s relative says Liverpool would be interested in signing the Brighton star:
Midfielder for Brighton & Hove Albion Alexis Mac Allister is reportedly close to joining Liverpool, according to his relative Luciano Guaycochea.
The World Cup-winning midfielder became the Reds’ top scorer after they withdrew from the contest to recruit Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
The midfielder is about to join Liverpool, according to his cousin Guaycochea, reports Astro Arena. He said: “I can’t say with certainty where he’ll play, but I think everyone knows he’s on the verge of joining Liverpool. I hope he can play well no matter where he goes, even though it’s a big team.”
For the Malaysian team Perak FC, professional football player Guaycoachea primarily plays in the middle of the pitch. Mac Allister’s older brothers, Francis and Kevin, are both athletes.
