Vinicius Jr’s friend encounters a racist attack. According to reports, the friend of Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior was attacked racially in Brazil. The spectator was going to the stadium to see Brazil play Guinea.
According to reports, a security guy pulled out a banana and said: “Hands up, I’ll give you my gun.”
Vinicius scored a goal against Guinea. In the 4-1 victory, he converted an 88th-minute penalty. The other goal scorers included Joelinton, Rodrygo Goes of Real Madrid, and Eder Militao.
During Los Blancos’ 1-0 loss to Valencia at the Mestalla last month, Vinicius was the target of abhorrent racist taunts. The incident caused a stir among football fans.
Real Madrid’s Vinicius responded to the prior racist assault as follows:
Vinicius has gradually risen to become one of Spain’s greatest players after joining Real Madrid in 2018. His on-field efforts have been amazing. However, he has frequently been the target of racist abuse from opposing team supporters. The Mestalla incident from last month reached a boiling point.
Vinicius wrote the following in a lengthy message on social media: “It wasn’t the first time, second time, or third time. In La Liga, racism is commonplace. The opposition supports it, the competition does as well, and the Federation agrees. So sorry again. Racists now own the championship that formerly belonged to Messi, Ronaldinho, Cristiano, and Ronaldo.”
He further added: “A wonderful country that I was welcomed into and that I adore, but that also consented to export its racist image to the rest of the globe. I’m sorry for the Spanish people who disagree, but Brazil now views Spain as a racist nation. And regrettably, I have no excuses for anything that occurs each week. I concur. However, I am a strong person, and I will fight racism until the last end, even if it is far from here.”
Despite being treated so abhorrently, Vinicius has continued to play well on the pitch. The Brazilian winger played for Los Blancos in 55 games across all competitions last season, scoring 23 goals and dishing out 21 assists. His outstanding performance was instrumental in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad winning the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Copa del Rey last season.
