Kylian Mbappe does not care about the reactions he received. Following the criticism he received for writing a letter to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Kylian Mbappe has answered.
Mbappe informed the Parisians in writing of his decision not to exercise the one-year contract option. The Ligue 1 champions’ striker’s current contract expires next year, but he has no interest in extending it.
PSG received a lot of anger as a result, and this summer they supposedly put him up for sale. The 24-year-old is not wanted by the French powerhouses on a free transfer, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club’s president, is reportedly enraged with the attacker.
In response, Mbappe has insisted that he didn’t anticipate such rage in the wake of delivering his letter. According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, he stated the following while representing France abroad: “To be completely honest, I didn’t believe I would offend anyone. All I sent was a letter. I had no idea that a letter could result in death. It is merely a letter. Concerning the reactions, I don’t care.”
The PSG forward had an outstanding 2022–23 season, scoring 41 goals and dishing out ten assists in 43 games across all competitions. He was a vital member of Christophe Galtier’s team when they captured the Ligue 1 championship.
Mbappe’s campaign, however, was far from trouble-free, as there were reportedly problems with teammate Neymar. The club’s usage of the Frenchman in a commercial selling season tickets for 2023–24 also incensed the player.
The front-runners to recruit the Parisian attacker are now Real Madrid. According to reports, they’re prepared to offer the €200 million that his club has requested to entice him to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mbappe, though, denied reports that he plans to transfer to Los Blancos this summer. But his position at the Parc des Princes is beginning to unravel.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, meets a potential Kylian Mbappe replacement:
Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, apparently visited Mohamed Salah, a winger for Liverpool, in Morocco, according to Sports Zone (via GetFootballNewsFrance).
Since Qatar will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Qatari businessman has got in touch with Salah. Al-Khelaifi stated that the Egyptian may replace Lionel Messi at the Parc des Princes for the international competition in Qatar.
When his contract with Paris expires at the end of the month, Messi will leave the French club and sign with MLS team Inter Miami. That opens the door for Salah, who has two years left on his Anfield contract, to potentially be moved.
If Mbappe leaves, the 31-year-old might be considered as a possible replacement. If both elite players leave, PSG will try to rebuild. One of the best attackers in Europe is Salah. Throughout 51 games in various competitions during the recently finished season, he scored 30 goals and added 16 assists.
