Marcus Rashford to help bankrupt ex-Manchester United star. Wes Brown, a former star for Manchester United, is apparently receiving assistance from Marcus Rashford as a result of Brown’s bankruptcy. Brown was identified by HRMC as having a six-figure debt and being late on his car payments.
The player has received assistance from a number of former United players, including Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, and others. Marcus Rashford has also been added to the group of athletes.
According to the Daily Star, he allegedly gave Brown a lavish mansion to stay in when things got difficult.
The most recent report could come as a shock considering Brown used to make a nice living when playing for Manchester United. But a person close to the player clarified the circumstance, reporting (via Daily Star): “Wes may have appeared to be making a lot of money, and for the most part he was, but the problem was that he was also attempting to match the standard of living of team members who were making five or six times as much money as he did. He lost the majority of his money on disastrous real estate ventures. On the farm where Leanne resides, he overpaid.”
He further added: “He spent perhaps £6 million or £7 million to purchase that. Even after dropping the asking price to £4.75 million, they have tried to sell it but have been unsuccessful. Any remaining funds are invested in the farm. Their last property was initially offered for £4.5 million, but it took seven years before it sold and only brought in £2.4 million, or almost half the amount.”
For Manchester United this year, Marcus Rashford has been in outstanding form:
This season, Marcus Rashford has been Manchester United’s finest attacking player. Under Dutch manager Erik ten Hag, the entire team has done far better than in previous campaigns.
Rashford has been the group’s standout performer. In 51 games so far this season, the great forward has scored 29 goals and supplied 11 assists. Since Cristiano Ronaldo left the team in the middle of the season, Rashford has assumed the role of the team’s leading scorer.
United, on the other hand, are now vying for a spot in the top four. With 63 points after 32 games, they are the league’s fourth-placed club. Despite playing one fewer game, the Red Devils are two points behind Newcastle United.
