“We are starting to feel that we can get through even difficult moments of the match unscathed. Last year we either dominated the match or we struggled.
“The only big difficulties came from their physicality on set pieces. Even when the team suffered, they did so with an order, which is great quality.”
He spoke about the work of Felipe Anderson, who scored the first goal against Inter:
“Felipe has been doing well for a long time.
“At the level of consistency, I see him different.
“Now he’s in a moment where he’s working well and giving a great contribution to the team.
“I think he’s taken the right path, offensively he’ll never be a monster of consistency.
“But in the team, he always makes a positive contribution.”
The Lazio coach commented on the team’s growing consistency and the need to stay focused:
