Thomas Partey will be joining Serie A giants. Thomas Partey, a midfielder for Arsenal, apparently prefers to stay in Europe and sign with Juventus despite offers from the Saudi Pro League.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Partey prefers to go to the Allianz Stadium over the Middle East. As Mikel Arteta makes adjustments to his team, he might be on his way out of the Emirates this summer.
According to reports, Arsenal is open to letting the 30-year-old leave if a competitive offer is made for his services. The north Londoners estimate his worth at €35 million, but interest from Saudi Arabia might increase that sum.
Partey has been essential for Arteta’s team and was a key player on the Arsenal squad that lost the championship to Manchester City the previous season. He participated in 40 different competitions and served as the link between the defense and the offense.
Partey has experienced injury problems during his whole Arsenal career, though. He missed five of their 38 league games last year, including losses to Manchester United and City.
Declan Rice, the captain of West Ham United, is a target for Arsenal this summer. Although they have already seen two bids for the England midfielder fall through, they remain optimistic about landing him, according to The Athletic.
As Arteta attempts to capitalize on a strong previous campaign, Rice might be seen as Partey’s replacement. Although the Ghanaian has been in the Emirates since 2020, he might move to Serie A.
If Partey leaves north London this summer, he wants to transfer to Juve. Due to Adrien Rabiot’s contract ending at the end of June, the Old Lady will probably be searching for a replacement midfielder. The former Atletico Madrid midfielder is a target for them.
Despite the abundance of European quality that has moved there, the defensive midfielder doesn’t seem to be interested in a move to the Saudi Pro League. On account of lucrative contracts, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kante all relocated to the Middle East.
Ajax star Jurrien Timber and Arsenal are nearing a personal accord:
Romano claims that Arsenal and defender Jurrien Timber of Ajax is very close to a personal agreement. This summer, the Dutchman has decided to sign with the Gunners.
Arteta’s team failed in their original £30 million offer for Timber, but they plan to try again shortly. They will discuss the 22-year-old with the Eredivisie’s top clubs.
Timber has developed into one of the best defenders in Dutch football. He played in 47 games across several leagues, contributing to Ajax’s 15 shutouts. The center defender who can also play right back appeals to the Gunners because it gives Arteta variety at the back.
