Arsenal in race with European giants to sign Ivan Fresneda. Prior to the upcoming season, it is rumored that Arsenal will challenge Barcelona for the services of Real Valladolid star Ivan Fresneda.
Fresneda, 18, made his professional debut in January and has since established himself as one of the world’s most promising right-backs. Since the beginning of the year, a number of major teams have expressed interest in him as a result.
Ivan Fresneda, a right-footed full-back, was extensively connected with the Gunners in early January. During the 2022–23 campaign, he was also on Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund’s radar, according to Ben Jacobs.
Fichajes claims that Arsenal will likely rekindle their interest in Fresneda soon in order to compete with Barcelona. They’ll also have to contend with teams like Juventus and Inter Milan.
The Spain U19 international could turn out to be a great addition if he signs with the Gunners this summer. Together with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Benjamin White, he would compete for a spot on the first team.
Fresneda, on the other hand, might potentially prove to be a beneficial addition to the Catalan giants. He would give Jules Kounde more opportunities to play at center-back while also giving Sergi Roberto dependable competition.
Barcelona is thought to have already spoken with Fresneda’s representatives and indicated an interest in acquiring the Arsenal target.
Ivan Fresneda has already made 26 appearances for Valladolid during his contract with the Estadio Jose Zorrilla, which runs through June 2025. Due to his team’s relegation, his departure clause decreased from £34 million to £17 million.
Arsenal interested in signing Barcelona star as Mikel Arteta aims squad refresh:
Arsenal is reportedly eager to sign Barcelona player Aleix Garrido this summer, according to SPORT. Before the start of preseason, Mikel Arteta plans to rebuild his midfield, and he wants to bring in some fresh blood.
Garrido, though, has no plans to quit the Blaugrana before the 2019 season. The 19-year-old, who has been compared to Pedri, hopes to play for his team for more seasons.
The Spain U20 international, a right-footed center midfielder, made his senior debut for Xavi Hernandez’s team earlier this year. On April 1, he played for six minutes during his team’s 4-0 La Liga victory away at Elche.
Garrido has played for various age-group teams and has so far registered four goals and eight assists in 29 games for his hometown team.
