Lewandowski’s late penalty seals a 1-0 win for Bayern Munich over Augsburg in Bundesliga.
Neither side got going in the first half, but Bayern came out brighter after the break, with Lewandowski forcing a superb fingertip save out of Gikiewicz in the opening minute.
Kimmich also saw a long-range shot pushed away by the keeper.
VAR awarded the game-winning penalty after Lewandowski’s header hit Oxford’s arm.
And the Pole fired it into the top corner. Kimmich also hit the bar late on.

Goals:
LEWANDOWSKI SCORES! It’s an emphatic penalty from the forward! He takes a short run-up and fires his shot into the top-right corner of the net. Gikiewicz dives the wrong way, but he wouldn’t have stood a chance anyway. 1-0 Bayern!
Lewandowski’s goal brings up Muller’s milestone.
Lewandowski has scored 23 goals against Augsburg, which is one more than he has managed against Dortmund and behind only the 24 he has scored versus Wolfsburg.
His latest strike brought up a milestone win for team-mate Thomas Muller, the first outfield player to ever record 300 Bundesliga victories, each of those with Bayern.
So, what’s next?
That win takes Bayern nine points clear of Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table, and they’re now unbeaten in their last seven league games. Next up for them is the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Villarreal. Augsburg drops to 14th, but they’re still six points clear of the drop. They have Hertha Berlin next time out.
