Kieran Trippier praises Mauricio Pochettino. Right-back Kieran Trippier of Newcastle United recently asserted that Mauricio Pochettino, who has been mentioned in connection with the Chelsea managerial vacancy, is a superb man-manager.
Chelsea is still looking for a new manager, but they are getting closer to Pochettino. For the past month, the former PSG manager has been in negotiations with the Blues and is prepared to sign the contract.
In a recent interview with the High-Performance Podcast, Trippier asserted that Pochettino was completely knowledgeable about his players.
Trippier collaborated with Pochettino while he was Tottenham Hotspur’s manager. He was cited as saying by Football London: “It’s funny. It appears like he knows every detail about you. It appears that he was constantly filming. He was a good man-manager; he knew when to speak to you and when not to speak to you, when to pull you in and when not to. He knew if you didn’t sleep well and if you were in a foul mood. In some ways, he was like a magician.”
Since being fired by PSG in the summer of last year, Pochettino has been jobless. He has previously been connected to the position at Manchester United, who ultimately hired the Dutchman Erik ten Hag.
Christian Eriksen of Manchester United lauded Mauricio Pochettino, who is a target for Chelsea:
Christian Eriksen, a midfielder for Manchester United, previously served as Mauricio Pochettino’s assistant at Tottenham and provided insight into the manager’s style.
He told Manchester United’s official website that the Argentine taught him a lot, saying: “I worked with Poch for a lot longer than the previous managers, and I believe the team we built with him was great. I did, therefore, pick up some knowledge from Poch. You would have the ball much more during games but far less during practice. He underwent a lot of demanding training, including a lot of running, which is crucial for the physical aspect. Since we were a youthful team, it was the ideal combination for us to play freely.”
Chelsea wants to complete the transaction this week and will announce it soon. As a result of their victory over Bournemouth last weekend, they are now mathematically safe from relegation.
