Arsenal will sell a striker this summer for £34 million. Arsenal has set a price of £34 million for the summer transfer of Folarin Balogun, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Last season, the USMNT striker spent time on loan at Stade Reims of Ligue 1.
In 39 games across competitions, Balogun had a fantastic season in France, scoring 22 goals (21 in Ligue 1) and dishing out three assists. The striker has returned to the Emirates after his loan agreement expired.
Balogun is not anticipated to be a fixture at Mikel Arteta’s team next season despite his success in France and is most likely to be traded this summer.
The aforementioned rumor claims that Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio recently visited London and contacted the Gunners to inquire about a potential loan transfer for Balogun.
The club isn’t keen on loaning out the 21-year-old striker once more, even though his deal isn’t up until the conclusion of the 2024–25 season. For a permanent sale, Arsenal has set a price of about £34 million.
Balogun has made 10 appearances for the club’s senior team since graduating from Arsenal’s junior academies, making two goals and one assist in that time.
Dean Jones makes a concerning statement about Declan Rice, a target for Arsenal:
Declan Rice has garnered considerable interest from Arsenal, who are looking to strengthen their midfield. Among the teams interested in signing Rice this summer are Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Manchester City, the reigning Premier League winners, reportedly entered the bidding to recruit the English midfielder as well.
Despite the Gunners being the presumed favorites, journalist Dean Jones recently asserted that Rice supports Manchester United.
Jones discussed Rice’s predicament on The Done Deal Show, according to The Boot Room: “Bayern Munich is not an option; the allure of playing there has not existed. I’ve been told that he doesn’t like it at this point. Man United getting involved would be interesting. Although expensive, they still require a midfielder. Can they afford to let Man City catch up to them?”
Jones continued: “This was a few months ago, but I spoke to one of his friends. He loves Man United, he loves the idea of everything Man United stands for. I would never rule out Man United if it does open up.”
Rice is now among the best midfielders in the Premier League, and West Ham is likely to demand a transfer fee of close to £100 million.
