Graham Potter receives an opportunity at Ligue 1 Club Nice. Graham Potter, the former manager of Chelsea, is reportedly a target for Ligue 1 club OGC Nice, according to the French publication Nice Matin. The Blues recently fired the 47-year-old.
After Thomas Tuchel was fired, Potter took leadership at the West London club. He performed poorly throughout his time at Stamford Bridge, though. Only 12 of the Blues’ 31 games under his management were won, eight were tied, and 11 were lost.
But prior to signing with the Blues, Potter produced some outstanding work for Brighton & Hove Albion. At Stamford Bridge, the Englishman appeared to be out of his element, but Nice would be a good match.
The French team has 51 points after 34 games, placing them seventh in Ligue 1. The team is currently managed by Didier Digard. Next season, Digard might remain in command, although Nice is also looking at Thiago Motta and Potter as potential replacements.
Chelsea’s problems have persisted since Graham Potter was fired:
Graham Potter’s dismissal did not end Chelsea’s miserable streak. The club prevailed during the one game that Bruno Saltor oversaw.
Frank Lampard was unexpectedly retained as interim manager through the end of the season although big-name managers like Mauricio Pochettino, Julian Nagelsmann, and Luis Enrique were connected to the position.
Before defeating Bournemouth 3-1, the Blues under Lampard dropped their first six matches. The West Londoners have 42 points after 34 games, which puts them 11th in the rankings. On Saturday, May 13, they play host to Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will reclaim some lost respect and some lost confidence by playing well in the final four games of the season. The team’s harmony should benefit from finishing the season strong.
At the beginning of the season, a new manager will be chosen. Although Mauricio Pochettino appears to be the front-runner, it would be challenging for the Argentine to rebuild the team for the following season.
