Victor Osimhen under radar of Chelsea and Man United. The possibility of a transfer to Chelsea or Manchester United has been left open by Victor Osimhen. He has given the authority to choose his future to Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli.
This summer, the striker is a target for Chelsea and Manchester United, who are trying to work out a deal with Napoli. Osimhen, whose 26 goals in 32 games this season helped the Serie A team win the league, is not wanted by the club.
Osimhen told DAZN that he wants to improve next season but is unsure if it will be at Napoli or somewhere else: “I’m not sure; the president has to make that call. I adore the Napoli residents because of all the affection they have shown me. I don’t care what the president decides; I’ll simply go along for the ride.”
“For me, it’s an incredible sensation. The most significant accomplishment of my career to date is that I won the Scudetto. God is to be praised for this season, my teammates, my family, and the Neapolitans, who have earned everything.”
He added: “The Neapolitans, my teammates, and I have had an amazing season. I feel like I’ve done so great this season and deserve everything nice that’s come my way, but I’m inspired to go even further next year.”
According to Sky Italia, Napoli will demand at least €150 million to trade the striker.
Legendary Manchester United player doubts Chelsea target’s Premier League success:
Victor Osimhen’s ability to duplicate his Serie A form in the Premier League has been questioned by Rio Ferdinand. He believes that any move for the Nigerian could be problematic because the league in England is more competitive than the one in Italy.
According to Ferdinand’s YouTube channel: “Osimhen is in a different league altogether. He has scored goals in France and Italy at the age of 24. knows how to win leagues and won the league (in Italy). He was a No. 9 on a powerful team. Can you do it in the Premier League? One is unaware of that.”
“United would have to take that risk with him. The only risk I can see is that one. He is unfamiliar with the league. He fits the bill in terms of abilities and profile, yet something is still not understood. Can he change?”
Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea’s new manager, is eager to bring in a striker this summer. Romelu Lukaku is eager to go back to Inter, according to Sky Sports.
